Upgrades to strengthen aerospace and defence company in Lunenburg

By Caitlin Snow Feb 20, 2026 | 5:30 PM

The federal government is spending $600,000 on an aerospace and defence company in Lunenburg.

MP for South Shore – St. Margaret’s Jessica Fancy made the announcement Friday afternoon for Stelia North America.

In a news release the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) says the upgrades will allow the company to produce and test parts faster, creating 15 full time jobs and better meet demand.

It includes CNC machines, a robotic standing cell, a process oven, measuring equipment and a 3D printer.

Fancy says the money will help make sure Nova Scotia remains a key player in the industry.

“Stelia is a great example of the innovation and skilled work happening right here in Lunenburg. This investment will help the company modernize its operations, support and develop its workforce, and continue growing in a highly competitive global industry,” says Fancy.

Upgrades will happen over three years.
