Canada wins third medal of the day at the Olympics

Canada has their third medal of the day at the Winter Olympics in Milan.

Speedskater Courtney Sarault of New Brunswick captured a bronze in the women’s 500-metre short track event Thursday afternoon.

It’s her second medal of the Games, following a silver in the mixed relay.

Snowboarder Eliot Grondin finished second in the men’s snowboard cross final.

Earlier, Mikael Kingsbury hit the podium again.

The Quebec native took silver at the men’s moguls freestyle skiing event at the Winter Olympics.

It’s Kingsbury’s fourth Olympic medal, the most all time in that event.

He was one of Canada’s flag bearers at the opening ceremony.

Canada now has seven medals at the games, three silver and four bronze.
