Charges against a man who was the subject of an emergency alert in Digby County.

The 26-year-old from Brighton was arrested and charged with firearm and assault offences.

It was just before 9 last night Digby RCMP were called to an alleged assault at a home on Highway 101.

The man had fled on foot and was believed to be armed, so RCMP issed the alert and asked people to stay inside and lock their doors.

Officers then found out the suspect was driven to an address in Seabrook, he was safely arrested there, but no weapon was located.

RCMP say they’re still looking for the firearm.

The man was scheduled for court today.
