New Brunswickers will want to bundle up this weekend.

Environment Canada has placed the entire province under a yellow warning for cold.

According to the alert, a prolonged period of “very cold wind chills is expected.”

The coldest wind chills are forecast to be between -30 C and -37 C, with the most extreme expected in northwestern New Brunswick.

The cold snap is expected to begin Saturday morning and end sometime Sunday morning.

The chill is being caused by a northwesterly flow of arctic air.
