A new captain for the Yarmouth Mariners.

Twenty-year-old defender Jano Zambakdjian will wear the ‘C’ for the rest of the season.

This follows the trade of former captain Justin Garneau last weekend.

Yarmouth native Jared Pitman will wear an ‘A’ as an alternate captain, joining the current leadership group of Ryan Loveless and Liam Dutcher.

The Mariners host the Amherst Ramblers Friday night at 7.

They sit eight points behind the Ramblers for the last playoff spot in the Eastlink South Division with 17 games remaining.
