A 63-year-old Waasis woman will face a charge of impaired driving causing death related to a collision in August.

The RCMP reported they arrested the woman on Dec. 22.

The collision that led to the charge happened Aug. 19, just before 7 p.m., on Nevers Road in Waasis.

Members of the Oromocto RCMP responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision.

Police said the collision is believed to have occurred when the driver of a northbound vehicle was turning left into a driveway and was struck by a motorcycle travelling southbound.

The 53-year-old man driving the motorcycle died at the scene because of his injuries.

The woman is scheduled to appear in Fredericton provincial court on April 7.
