A deer was heroically saved from falling through the ice in Barrington Passage, Tuesday.
In a post on social media, Island and Barrington Passage Fire Department says when they got the call, the deer was struggling to survive.
DC Devon Waybret and Captain Ghislain Leblanc put on survival suits and life jackets and managed to save the deer after a few hours, with some help from other members of the department.
They thank everyone who helped.
