Engagement sessions to discuss Riverview’s future visions

By Tara Clow Dec 3, 2025 | 2:46 PM

Public engagement sessions are planned as the Town of Riverview looks at the future of the Bridgedale-Gunningsville-Robertson area.

It has been identified as a key zone for future growth and development, and the town is developing a secondary plan to take a more in-depth look.  This will ensure future neighbourhoods are well-connected, planned holistically, and consider environmental assets.   This area is in the eastern part of Riverview and is almost completely undeveloped.

The secondary plan, focuses on a smaller area of the community and gives more details about all aspects of community building, including land use, design, infrastructure, transportation, recreation, housing and commercial amenities, and consideration for environmental features, ensuring growth remains aligned with the Town’s overall vision.

Two community vision sessions will be held.

The first, on December 9, will be held virtually, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.  Register for the Zoom meeting on the Town’s website.

The second session will be held in person on December 10 from 6 pm to 8  pm in Riverview Town Hall council chambers.
