Saint John declares parking ban for Wednesday

By Bryan Tait Dec 3, 2025 | 12:13 PM

An overnight parking ban will be in place Wednesday night on Saint John’s South/Central Peninsula.

The ban will be effective from 11 p.m. Wednesday until 7 a.m. Thursday.

Vehicles remaining on-street after 11 p.m. will be ticketed or towed at the owner’s risk and expense.

Three city parking lots will be cleared for use by on-street parking residents beginning at 6 p.m. They are at Peters Street, Vulcan Street and Sydney Street (Service New Brunswick).

Vehicles must be removed from those lots by 7 a.m. Thursday.

The Peel Plaza parking garage also offers a $5 overnight parking rate when parking bans have been declared. The rate is valid from 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. the following morning.
