A 34-year-old woman is in hospital after she was hit by a garbage truck on Monday morning while in a marked crosswalk.
It happened at about 5:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Lacewood Drive, according to a news release from Halifax Regional Police.
The woman is still in hospital, according to an 11 am. update from police.
The road was closed for a few hours between Willett Street and Dunbrack Street.
The investigation continues.
