More calls Saturday to determine opening of fall lobster fishery

Lobster fishers in southwestern Nova Scotia will soon find out when they can set their traps.

Port reps will have weather calls with DFO Saturday morning to talk about a Monday opening.

The call will happen at 7 a.m for LFA 34, and one hour later for LFA 33.

The last Monday in November is the scheduled time for season opening, but winds have to be below 26 knots.
