The City of Saint John confirm construction on the Harbour Bridge is expected to wrap up on December 10.
The city said all lanes and ramps will be open, and the Harbour Passage detour near the Brunswicker will be removed, restoring the original trail for pedestrians and cyclists.
Officials noted no long-term lane closures are planned beyond 2025. Short-term closures may still occur, including single-lane work in 2027.
The city added that ramp closures and Harbour Passage detours will continue between 2026 and 2028 for bearing replacements. Minimal full bridge closures of about 20 minutes are also expected in 2026.
The project is being carried out in partnership with the Government of New Brunswick and the provincial Department of Transportation.
