Communities in the Greater Saint John area and southwestern New Brunswick are hosting Remembrance Day ceremonies, honouring those who served and made the ultimate sacrifice.
In Saint John, the main ceremony will be at TD Station. The public is asked to be seated by 10:20 a.m., with the ceremony beginning at 11 a.m.
In west Saint John, a ceremony will be held at the Field of Honour in the Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery, 1650 Manawagonish Road, beginning at 9 a.m.
Another service will be at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 69 cenotaph, 750 Manawagonish Road at 11 a.m.
In the north end, there will be a wreath-laying at the Public Gardens on Seely Street at 2 p.m.
In Quispamsis, the official Kennebecasis Valley ceremony will be at the qplex. The doors will open at 9:30 a.m., and the ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m.
Attendees are asked to be seated by 10:15 a.m.
An outdoor, community-led ceremony will also take place at the KV cenotaph on Rothesay Common, beginning at 10:45 a.m.
Grand Bay-Westfield will host a ceremony at Veterans Peace Park. Attendees are asked to arrive by 10:15 a.m.
The ceremony will take place rain or shine.
In St. Stephen, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 9 will hold its annual service at the cenotaph on Milltown Boulevard. Spectators are asked to arrive by 10:40 a.m.
The Milltown Activities Group is holding its own ceremony at the Milltown cenotaph.
