Remembrance Day Ceremony moved indoors for Port Hawkesbury

By Jessica Laing Nov 10, 2025 | 7:00 AM

Port Hawkesbury is moving their Remembrance Day ceremony indoors due to weather tomorrow.

Guests planning to attend are asked to arrive at the Civic Centre’s Bear Head Room by 10:40 a.m.

Reeves Street will no longer be closed as traffic noise will not interfere with the moment of silence to honour veterans.

We will be broadcasting the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 43 ceremony live on-air and streamed on our 1015 The Hawk Announcers Facebook page starting around 10:50 a.m.

There’s also a recently painted red and white striped crosswalk to honour local veterans that goes across the MacSween Street entranceway to the provincial building.
