A house was badly damaged after a fire in Cole Harbour, late Saturday afternoon.
Halifax Professional Fire Fighters say they responded to the call just before 6 p.m. on Merrimac Drive, which was quickly upgraded to a second-alarm fire, bringing in more resources.
By 7 p.m., the fire union said the blaze was out, but crews remain on scene to put out hot spots and make sure the area was safe.
No word on any injuries.
