A 43-year-old man from Martock, Nova Scotia is facing child pornography charges.

RCMP say it was October 23 when law agencies searched a home in Mountainside Park and seized electronic evidence.

Investigators received a tip from a social media app that child sexual abuse and exploitation material were being used on its service.

The suspect has been charged with:

• Possession of Child Pornography
• Transmission of Child Pornography
• Accessing Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material
• Distribution of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material

The man was released on conditions and is scheduled for court, January 20.
