Five youths and an adult are facing charges after an incident where a youth and an adult were sprayed with a sensory irritant.

The RCMP says it happened on Oct. 20 around 4:30 p.m. at a property in the 600 block of Sackville Drive in Lower Sackville, according to a news release.

Investigators say four youths entered the building wearing masks and sprayed the sensory irritant inside, affecting another youth and an adult.

The youth victim then took out a knife and brandished it at one of the masked suspects before all four fled and got picked up by an adult, who was waiting outside in a vehicle.

The youth victim stayed at the scene and spoke to RCMP about what happened.

Three of the youths were arrested on Oct. 21. They face multiple charges, including wearing disguises, assault and weapons charges. They were released after appearing in court.

One of the youths was arrested on Oct. 23 and remains in custody.

The youth victim was also arrested on Oct. 23 and faces weapons charges, including assault with a weapon, carrying a weapon and possessing one for a dangerous purpose. He was also released after appearing in court.

The adult who allegedly picked up the masked youth, a 37-year-old woman from Lower Sackville, was charged with Accessory After the Fact. She will appear in court later.
