Playing the lottery online has paid off for a Fredericton, New Brunswick couple.

Tilly van den Bosch recently won over $1.6 million on the Lotto 6/49 classic jackpot.

She checked her tickets in the early morning hours because she couldn’t sleep. “It was the middle of the night, so I didn’t jump up, but it started to slowly sink in,” Van den
Bosch said. “I woke up my husband, and then neither of us could sleep for the next two nights.”

Van den Bosch shared the $5-million Classic Jackpot on the October 8 draw with two other winners, who are from Ontario.  They all held tickets with the same winning numbers.

Plans for her winnings include paying off debt, purchasing a new car for herself and her son, and travelling with her husband.

“It’s a new adventure,” Van den Bosch said. “I don’t think it’s going to change my life dramatically, but we can go on vacation now, and that hasn’t happened for 10 years.”
