Atlantic Canada’s largest annual running and walking event has a new title sponsor.

It will be known as the Medavie Blue Nose Marathon. Previously, Emera held the title sponsorship for the Halifax-based event founded in 2004.

In a statement, marathon executive director Sherri Robbins says as their partner for the last 13 years, “Medavie continues to demonstrate their commitment to helping people live healthier lives and fostering community engagement.”

Organizers say the national health solutions partner will be helping charities in the Giv’er Charity Challenge go further and make an even bigger impact with added support and race entries.

The Medavie Blue Nose Marathon will take place May 15th-17th, 2026.

Registration opened Wednesday.
