Rockwood Park will host the city’s rescheduled Passport to Parks event this Saturday at Fisher Lake.

The City of Saint John says the free afternoon gathering will run from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Activities include bouncy castles, First Nations storytelling, henna, face painting, balloon twisting and music from a DJ. Food will be available for purchase.

A free bus service will run from King Square to the Fisher Lake parking lot, with departures at noon and 12:45 p.m. A return trip is scheduled for 4 p.m.

The event is part of the Welcoming Communities initiative, which is designed to foster a sense of belonging.

The city also says Passport to Parks supports council’s Belong priority and the PlaySJ strategic plan, which promotes health, well‑being and inclusive recreation.

A rain date is set for Sunday at the same time and location.
