A fatal house fire in Pomquet.

Antigonish County RCMP say it was Saturday around 5:30 a.m., when they responded to the blaze on Monks Head Rd.

When crews arrived on scene, the home was fully engulfed.

Once the fire was put out, remains were found inside.

At this time, the fire is not believed to be criminal in nature.
