A 26-year-old Debert man has been charged with attemped murder.

An assault was reported in the community on Sunday afternoon, when RCMP arrived they found a man with life-threatening injuries.

The other man fled before police arrived, the victim was taken to hospital.

About 11 hours later, RCMP arrested the suspect at a residence.

Police believe the two are known to each other.
