Burn ban continues across N.B.

New Brunswick is entering its fifth weekend with a provincewide burn ban.

The ban was first issued back on Aug. 6 due to the high wildfire risk.

There were 12 active fires burning throughout the province as of Friday afternoon.

That includes an out-of-control blaze in Northumberland County known as the Beaver Lake Stream fire.

Three other fires are listed as contained, one is under control and seven are being patrolled.
