N.S. wildfire smoke forces air quality advisories for N.B.

By Tara Clow Aug 25, 2025 | 6:32 AM

Local air quality could be reduced in some areas due to wildfire activity.

Environment Canada has issued special air quality statements for areas including Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick, Saint John and County, Sussex, Kennebecasis County and Kings County.

The smoke is coming from a wildfire near Long Lake in Annapolis County, Nova Scotia and is drifting due to wind conditions.

Wildfire smoke can impact those 65 and older, if you’re pregnant, young children or those with existing illnesses or health conditions.
