Heavy rain Thursday afternoon has put a damper on the first day of the Kenora Agricultural Fair.

Initially, only the midway was scrubbed, but organizers say they will have to delay the opening until tomorrow.

The fair will still take place Friday and Saturday on 1st Street South, near the Kenora Curling Club.

The section of road between 7th and 8th Avenues will be closed for the duration of the fair.

Also, this weekend, the annual Moose and Fiddle Festival will take place at Caliper Lake Provincial Park.

Music begins at 5:30 Friday and continues Saturday afternoon and evening.
