Outbreak declared at Rainycrest

By Randy Thoms Jul 22, 2025 | 5:49 PM

Visitor restrictions have been reinstated at Rainycrest Long Term Care.

It is due to a respiratory outbreak that is affecting the Fort Frances home’s west wing.

Residents in the wing are limited to having no more than two visitors or caregivers at one time, with all visits restricted to their room.

Restrictions on admissions, transfers, discharges and large group activities are also in place until further notice.

Medical masking is also required for all visitors to the west wing, with the need to wear additional personal protective equipment (PPE) if required.

Riverside urges all visitors to conduct a self-screening before entering our facilities.
Individuals experiencing flu-like symptoms are asked not to visit.
