Canada Post could be dropped by 2 out of 3 small businesses if workers strike again, says CFIB

Nearly two thirds of businesses could walk away from Canada Post if they go on strike again.

According to data from the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB), more businesses leave every time they go on strike.

About 4 in 5 businesses use it now for sending cheques and because of its low cost.

When workers went on strike in 2024, about 13 per cent of businesses dropped the service.

Small businesses are one of the last profitable customers for the postal service.

CFIB says nearly 63 per cent could walk away from the service if workers go on strike again.
