Councillors in Memramcook have appointed a new chief administrative officer for the village.
Maryse LeBlanc will officially take over the municipality’s top staff role as of Monday.
LeBlanc is no stranger to the village, having served as its community life director since 2017.
She was also named the assistant to the chief administrative officer back in 2023.
“With her unifying approach and strong understanding of community issues, Ms. LeBlanc is a key figure within the municipal team,” the municipality said in a news release.
“Over the years, she has distinguished herself by her sense of initiative, her ability to rally community stakeholders around impactful projects, and her deep commitment to seeing Memramcook and its residents shine.”
LeBlanc will take over from Gilles Belleau, who has served as the village’s chief administrative officer since 2023.
The municipality said Belleau’s many accomplishments achieved during his tenure have left a lasting impact on the community.
“His dedication helped initiate positive changes that will continue to benefit the community,” said the release.
