Fuel prices are on their way up on Thursday night, according to an industry source.

Regular self-serve gasoline is expected to climb by around one cent per litre at midnight.

The current maximum price is $1.46 per litre, though most stations are selling for a few cents less.

Meanwhile, diesel prices are expected to jump by around 10 cents following a seven-cent drop earlier in the week.

The most you are currently paying for diesel in the province is also around $1.46 per litre.

In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from $1.45 to $1.49 per litre while diesel is selling for between $1.56 and $1.60 per litre.

On Prince Edward Island, the price for regular self-serve is around $1.55 per litre, diesel costs around $1.67 per litre, and home heating oil is selling for a maximum of $1.19 per litre.
