By Tara Clow Jun 25, 2025 | 6:42 AM

A few traffic notes for motorists in Moncton.

Morton Avenue, between McLaughlin Drive and Elmwood Drive, will be closed until 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Crews are installing new municipal services for a site development.

Detours are in place.

All traffic from Elmwood Drive heading towards Morton Avenue will be detoured on Redmond Street to McLaughlin Drive. The traffic on Morton Avenue heading towards Elmwood Drive will be diverted around the excavation on Morton Avenue using various combinations of lanes.

There will also be a lane reduction on Purdy Avenue between Argyle Street and Melville Street.

New municipal services are also being installed for a site development in this location.  Delays can be expected on Wednesday and Thursday.

Traffic light maintenance at the intersection of Mountain Road and Plaza Boulevard may also impact your commute today.

Work will be done from 8:30 am on Wednesday until 1 pm.

Traffic lights will be turned off at the intersection while crews are on site.

Signage and flaggers will assist motorists on site.
