New handi-transit van purchased by Fort Frances

One of the two handi-transit buses owned by the town of Fort Frances is being replaced.

The town is purchasing a new one, costing over $185,000 from Canadian firm Crestline Coach Limited.

That is more than $35,000 than budgeted.

The cost is covered through provincial gas tax money the town received each year.

The new van should be in service by this September.

One of the older ones, originally purchased in 2017, will eventually be sold at auction.
