New electric vehicle chargers in Yarmouth.

Four spaces will be created in the Brown Street parking lot, work begins next week.

The town says installation is expected to take 4-6 weeks, with the lot partially closed at the Hawthorne Street entry.

Six spaces will be fenced off, and the sidewalk on Hawthorne will also be blocked.

The town says new parking spaces are being proposed to make sure there’s parking capacity.

Yarmouth is one of 15 locations to receive the new charging stations.
