The Moncton Wildcats will move on to the Q-League finals.

They swept their series against the Huskies 4-0.

The Huskies came close Wednesday night, with both teams tied at 3 goals each heading into overtime.

But Alex Mercier scored the game winning goal with about four minutes left in the period.

The last time Moncton won the championship title was 2010, when they beat the Saint John Sea Dogs 4 games to 2.

The Wildcats will face off against either Rimouski or Shawinigan, whose series is tied now at 2-2, in a battle for the Gilles-Courteau trophy.
