A building connected to the former Bloomfield School in Halifax’s north end caught fire overnight.
About 50 firefighters spent the early morning hours of Sunday putting water on the blaze until it was out.
The old school building on Agricola Street was not being used for anything, but concerns have been raised about its safety.
No injuries were reported and the cause is being investigated.
