Two men and a firefighter were hurt in a house fire in Dartmouth.

The fire happened Friday afternoon in a residence on Thompson Street.

Halifax Professional Firefighters say one of their members suffered minor burns to their hands during efforts to bring the two individuals to safety.

The firefighter was treated at the hospital and has since been released.

There’s no word on the injuries sustained by the two men.

The home was destroyed.
