Sudden death in Dartmouth ruled homicide

The sudden death of a man in Dartmouth has been ruled a homicide.

Halifax police say they responded to multiple reports of shots fired on Lahey Rd and Clarence Street in Dartmouth just before 3 a.m., Sunday.

They found two people with gunshot wounds.

A 30-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman were taken to hospital, the man later died.

The woman’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The investigation is ongoing.
