By Tim Davidson Jan 17, 2025 | 10:39 AM

The City of Dryden representatives will be busy this weekend and the early part of next week.

Three people are attending the Rural Ontario Municipal Association convention in Toronto.

Roger Nesbitt is Chief Administrative Officer of the city and says they have a number of meetings lined up with cabinet ministers.

“We’ll be meeting with the Solicitor General to talk about policing costs and talking about emergency response support for the unincorporated areas,”

“We’ll be meeting with the Minister of Infrastructure to talk about provincial lands within our municipal boundaries that can be used for housing.”

Nesbitt adds they will also be meeting with the Minister of Transport.

“We want to talk again about the Connecting Link program, and we also want to talk about airport capital funding as well as air passenger service for the Dryden area.”

The ROMA conference begins on Sunday and wraps up on Tuesday.
