A Halifax Police officer accused of sexual assault will not be charged.

The Serious Incident Response Team conducted an investigation of an arrest last June, where a woman claimed she was sexually assaulted during the incident.

In a report released Wednesday, SiRT says they found no reasonable grounds to lay charges.

The investigation was started immediately, and involved interviews with witnesses and reviewing video footage, police reports and medical reports.
