Thunder Bay’s 50/50 which is run by the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation has surpassed $6 million.

“We’ve shattered all records with this draw,” said the President and CEO of the foundation, Glenn Craig. “To think that this incredible prize, the largest hospital 50/50 draw in Canada, is happening right here in Thunder Bay is beyond exciting. This January 3rd, someone is going to wake up $6 million richer.”

This is not the first record set by the 50/50 this year as the four, and five-million dollar marks were also celebrated during the December 2024 draw.

In 2023 the hospital guaranteed its minimum grand prize would be $2 million and at the time they called it the largest guaranteed 50/50 prize in northwestern Ontario history.

Ticket sales for the draw close on Thursday at 11:59 p.m.

Thunder Bay 50/50 directly funds essential patient care equipment at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, and other hospitals in the region.
