New hours are coming to a few of Thunder Bay’s public libraries in the new year.

Most libraries are getting an increase in hours, but one location will be open less frequently.

Brodie Library has had its hours cut on Tuesday and Wednesday.

It will no longer be open until 8:00 p.m. on these days and will instead close at 5:00 p.m.

Waverly Library will now be open on Sundays and its Wednesday and Thursday closing times have been extended to 8:00 p.m. from 5:00 p.m.

Mary JL Black Library is seeing a similar change.

It will also be open on Sundays, and its Monday and Tuesday closing times are being extended from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Country Park is the only library not getting a change, and its hours will remain the same in the new year.

The new hours are going into effect on January 2.
