École secondaire catholique de La Vérendrye is showcasing Francophone talent and artisans from the region.

They are hosting a Christmas Market.

“The Christmas Market at École La Vérendrye is more than just a festive event. It is a cherished occasion to celebrate our artisans, strengthen bonds within the Francophone and Francophile community,” explained Cultural Coordinator, Sébastien Hardy. “You can count on exceptional service in French! We look forward to seeing many familiar faces and welcoming new friends on this special occasion.”

Artisans will be on hand showcasing things like soap, pottery, sculptures, decorations, toys, clothing, and more.

Meanwhile, several Francophone organizations, including AFNOO (Association des Francophones du Nord-Ouest de l’Ontario), the Thunder Bay Francophone Cultural Club, Féminin Pluriel, and l’Accueil Francophone, will be on-site to showcase the services they offer.

École Secondaire Catholique de La Vérendrye is a part of the Conseil Scolaire de District Catholique des Aurores Boreales.

This is the fourth time the school has hosted the market.

The market is taking place on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
