A Nipigon resident is facing drug trafficking charges following two drug busts in the community.
On Tuesday provincial police officers stopped a vehicle on Highway 11-17 in Nipigon.
During the stop officers seized suspected cocaine and crack cocaine.
On Wednesday, police searched a home in the community in connection to the first search, and seized suspected crystal methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia.
As a result of the investigation, a 49-year-old from Nipigon is facing the following charges:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Failure to comply with release order x2
The accused remains in custody with a future court date.
