3 arrested in weapons offence investigation

The Saint John Police have arrested three people in an ongoing weapons offence investigation.

Two men, aged 41 and 48, and a 33-year-old woman were taken into custody for multiple weapon-related offences.

The arrests came after police searched a house in Carters Point last week.

During the search, police seized several items, including:

  • A tactical Shotgun with a large clip attached (prohibited)
  • Firearms components (Complete parts for 223 rifle)
  • Mag speed loader
  • Collapsible rifle buttstock and mag well
  • Three magazines full of .223 ammunition (30-round mags. (90 .223 Rounds)
  • Magazine clip loaded with 9mm ammunition
  • Rifle barrel
  • Black holster, conceal carry style

Total Ammo

  • 199 x 9mm rounds
  • 200 x .223 rounds (3 x 30 loaded into magazines).
  • 13 shotgun rounds + rounds in shotgun
  • 1 30-06 Round

All three were released on undertakings and are scheduled to appear in court in February.
