It’s going to be a wet Wednesday and Thursday morning in parts of the province, including Charlotte County.

Environment Canada says this is due to an intense low pressure system.

A rainfall warning is in effect, with between 25 and 40 millimetres expected by Thursday morning.

There is also a wind warning in place, with gusts up to 90 kilometres per hour in the forecast.

Meanwhile, a freezing warning that was in effect earlier in the day has come to an end as any freezing precipitation has changed to rain.

Temperatures will continue to climb, reaching 10°C on Wednesday afternoon and 12°C by Thursday morning.

Those temperatures will fall back down on Thursday but are expected remain above freezing throughout the day.

Bay Ferries has cancelled some Wednesday and Thursday sailings between Saint John, N.B., and Digby, N.S., due to the weather.

The Confederation Bridge advises that high winds Wednesday night into Thursday morning may result in traffic restrictions.
