Canada’s finance minister will give an update on the country’s finances next week.

Chrystia Freeland is set to deliver her government’s fall economic statement on Monday.

It comes just one day before the House of Commons is scheduled to wrap up for the holidays.

This will be a key fiscal update for the Liberals as Canadians head into an election year

The government previously projected a deficit of around $40 billion this fiscal year, but the Parliamentary Budget Officer is forcasting it will be around $46 billion.
