Halifax gas station damaged after vehicle fire

By Bryan Tait May 24, 2026 | 12:40 PM

A vehicle fire caused significant damage to a gas station Sunday morning.

According to the Halifax Professional Firefighters, crews from Station 5 responded to the scene at a Mobil station on Joseph Howe Drive at 4:10 a.m.

The vehicle was near the gas pumps with fire extending into the gas station.

Crews had to work quickly to get the fire under control due to the location and potential for rapid spread.

The fire was quickly knocked down and brought under control, but not before significant damage to the building.
