They have gone all the way around the moon, and now the Artemis II crew is back in Canada.

This morning they marked their return to the country by visiting the Prime Minister’s office in Ottawa.

The only Canadian crew member, Jeremy Hansen, says they felt the support all the way at the moon.

“This [is] just shining a light back on Canada of what we are capable of on the world stage,” says Hansen.

The crew also gifted Mark Carney a flag they flew around the moon.

The rocket launched April 1 and returned 10 days later after the team set a record for the farthest distance traveled into space.

Hansen adds that this mission is only one step in a larger journey for Canada.
