A 30-year-old man is facing charges after an incident outside Halifax Regional Police headquarters on Gottingen Street.
Police say the incident happened shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday, when a woman approached officers to report that the man in her vehicle was intoxicated and breaching court-ordered conditions.
When officers moved to make an arrest, they say he allegedly attempted to drive away while impaired, resisted arrest, and assaulted two officers. He was taken into custody a short time later without further incident.
Police say no injuries were reported.
