Windy weather easing up later Monday morning

By Jacob Moore May 4, 2026 | 7:40 AM

The stormy weather continues for much of the Northeastern part of the province Monday morning.

Environment Canada has wind warnings in place for Pictou County, and most of the quad counties and Cape Breton area.

They say wind gusts could hit up 90 km/h, but that weather should ease up later this morning.

More than 3000 people have lost power, most in Antigonish and Baddeck, as of 7:30 a.m.

If you put out some lawn chairs for the warm weather on Saturday, you may want to tie those down.
