By Natalie Chiasson Feb 5, 2026 | 12:56 PM

Three Halifax men have been charged for theft and possession of stolen property after police pulled them over on highway 102.

On the afternoon of February 2, an officer scanned a passing car’s license plate which showed the registered owner was suspended from driving.

After stopping the car, the officer noticed a package of unstamped tobacco and arrested the driver. Then, the driver mentioned their involvement in other thefts earlier that day.

Eleven 1.75-litre bottles of alcohol and various grocery items were seized, and the passengers were also arrested.

The driver, 58, and two passengers, 43 and 36, were released and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court.
